This program is for students who want to make a real difference in the lives of others. It provides an entry-level qualification into the social work profession. It will suit recent high school graduates, mature aged students, and those looking to enter the human services sector. Progression options are flexible, with a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) available for meritorious students, who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Social Work, in the fourth year of their studies. Those who initially enrol in the Bachelor of Social Work and wish to exit early can do so at the completion of the second year, graduating with an Associate Degree of Human Services.

Standard entry requirements

If under 21 minimum ATAR of 60 (or equivalent), or successful completion of a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree from a registered Australian vocational education and training provider or higher education provider (or equivalent), or partial completion of a Bachelor Degree from a registered Australian higher education provider (or equivalent). If you are aged 21 years or older provide a written statement (up to 500 words) outlining your interest in studying social work/human service work.

Recognition

Provisionally accredited qualifications by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
