This double degree combines core curricula from exercise science and business administration. The Bachelor of Exercise Science core content provides an extensive knowledge base of how the human body works, from a psychological, anatomical, physiological, motor control and biomechanical perspective, with a specific focus on the role of exercise in health, well-being and performance.The Bachelor of Business Administration prepares students for a career in business management. Through a broad range of business subjects students develop understanding of business management and how organisations work. Students gain knowledge in all areas of business management including: accounting, commercial law, finance, marketing, human resource management and business information systems. Students will learn how to grow a business through an understanding of markets and application of business marketing. This double degree will broaden your career options as it combines skills and knowledge in exercise science with a comprehensive business background.
320 credit points. As part of your course, you will be placed in a range of organisations to integrate the theory you learn with practical workplace experiences (placements). As part of your enrolment, you must complete the Faculty of Health Sciences pre-placement requirements. To ensure you meet these requirements you need to start as soon as possible. Standard entry requirements
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent.New South WalesRecommended studies: English (Standard) Band 3, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE), Mathematics (any) plus one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.Queensland Prerequisites: English (Units 3 and 4, C)Recommended Studies: one of General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Health or Physical Education (Units 3 and 4, C)Victoria Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.*Disclaimer: The Course entry requirements above are for 2023 Admission. Graduates will be eligible for membership with The Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER).
The Bachelor of Exercise and Health Science (Honours) and the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science (Honours) programs are available as an additional year to meritorious students, with a grade point average of 5.75, who wish to undertake an independent research project.
