The Asian Experience Travel Grant will be awarded to a high-performing student who is enrolled in the Bachelor of Business (Property) degree at the University of South Australia.The grant will provide a talented student with the opportunity to develop their property skills and experience in a global context by undertaking a 6-week internship at Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd (Mapletree) in Singapore. Course credit may be earned for participation in the program by enrolment in placement courses BUSS3080 (4.5 units) and BUSS3010 (9.0 units). The internship period will usually coincide with the semester or year breaks‚ however this may not be possible in all years.The grant is intended to encourage students to participate in an overseas work placement which‚ in many cases‚ may otherwise be beyond their financial means. Evidence of financial disadvantage‚ as well as academic achievement‚ will be considered as part of the judging criteria and the selected recipient will receive this one-off grant to assist with the cost of travel‚ accommodation and living expenses incurred as part of their trip.

To qualify for a Work Holiday Pass applicants must be:• aged between 18 and 30 and completed 2 years of full-time undergraduate studies, if an Australian citizen, or• aged between 18 and 25, if an international student or permanent resident.Mapletree will assist the grant recipient to apply for the relevant Work Holiday Pass. Age is determined at the time of applying for the Work Holiday Pass and applicants are encouraged to consider their age prior to applying for the Asian Experience Travel Grant.In addition to your written statement, you will need to provide a copy of your current Curriculum Vitae.
