Alcoa Bev Corless Scholarship

The Bev Corless Memorial Scholarship is aimed specifically at women (currently undertaking Year 12) wishing to pursue a career in engineering in a discipline relevant to Alcoa. This scholarship has been implemented to recognise the contribution Bev Corless made to women in engineering through her work with Alcoa Australia and as a member of Engineers Australia and Engineering Technology Group. This scholarship is aimed to promote the integration of sustainability into engineering planning and design.
Eligibility: Applicants must: be female; be currently undertaking Year 12 in 2016; have completed their WACE and obtained their ATAR in 2016; have selected Curtin University as a first preference through TISC to undertake an eligible undergraduate engineering degree in 2017; be undertaking the first semester of their first undergraduate degree at Curtin University in semester 1, 2017; be Australian or New Zealand citizens, or holders of an Australian Permanent Humanitarian or Permanent Resident visa; and be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported place.
