Aboriginal Health Fellowship

The Nursing and Midwifery Office has a commitment to advancing Aboriginal health and promoting Aboriginal nurses and midwives within and into health. The Nursing and Midwifery Office offers a specific Aboriginal Health Fellowship for nurses and midwives to assist them to research or study innovative approaches to healthcare and the needs of the Aboriginal population. The fellowship will be awarded to individual researchers or a team whose research will translate into positive outcomes in Aboriginal health in Western Australia.
Eligibility: Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be registered midwives or nurses with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Preference will be given to nurses and midwives who are Aboriginal or are working within Aboriginal health. Applicants are required to seek out and gain support from the community they are researching prior to applying.
