This degree may be obtained after 2 years full-time or 4 years part-time study. Elective units are taught across different campuses.

Standard entry requirements
- Bachelors degree or a Masters degree (with a research component)
- Achievement of a threshold Admission Average Mark (AAM) equal to or above the minimum of 65
- Statement that outlines tentative research area
- International English proficiency requirement. IELTS 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in each band) or equivalent
Professional experience may be considered for entry into the program for those with qualification older than 5 years, at the discretion of the Dean of Graduate Studies.
