This degree provides civil engineers with an appreciation and understanding of architectural principles with a focus on creativity and inventiveness. Civil electives can be chosen from a range of disciplines including structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transport engineering, water engineering or engineering construction and management. Students will complete a number of courses from the Faculty of the Built Environment such as architectural and multidisciplinary workshops, architectural history and theory, design modelling and visualisation, computer-aided design and architectural communication all undertaken with architectural studies students.

Structure

This course includes a major in civil engineering and a minor in architecture. In the final year of the program students can choose electives from a range of disciplines including structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transport engineering, water engineering or engineering construction and management. Students must complete 60 days of Industrial Training.
