Criminology is an interdisciplinary field devoted to the study of crime, deviance, social control and the legal system. Criminologists work to reduce crime by understanding it better. When students study the Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at UNSW, students will tackle 'real world' social problems such as victimisation, drug related harm, organised crime and community safety.
Structure
144 units of credit, including core courses and electives in criminology, core courses in social research and policy, and free electives. Criminology is shaped by scholars in law, philosophy, psychology and sociology, and other interdisciplinary fields including history, politics, economics, architecture, and cultural studies.
