This program is designed for health professionals who wish to undertake specialised postgraduate health education to assist them in preparing for, or extending their practice, in a range of speciality areas. It extends and provides depth in selected areas of specialisation, providing busy health professionals with the opportunity to develop and extend their skills and knowledge. The program is also designed to strengthen students' skills as critical consumers of research and to undertake independent projects related to research. In addition, students studying in the Master of Health will undertake four units of research training to quality them to apply for PhD studies.

Standard entry requirements

Completion of an Australian university three year Bachelor degree in a health related field, or equivalent plus English Language Proficiency requirements for Category 3. Rural & Remote specialisation: Be registered as a nurse in Division 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and must be able to demonstrate at least one years' full-time clinical experience. Applicants must provide a detailed CV including education, clinical experience, professional development, and full time equivalent for each employer. USQ requires written confirmation that the applicant is currently practicing as an RN and can complete required hours of clinical mentorship in their workplace. All students are required to satisfy the applicable English Language Requirements.
