Examining the fundamentals of theoretical and applied statistics, mathematical modelling and operations research, this program incorporates practical methods for undertaking analysis, modelling and decision-making. There is currently a shortage of professional statisticians across a range of industries in Australia. It is the only degree of its kind offered via distance education in Queensland. Those who opt to study on-campus, however, will enjoy small classes and plenty of personal attention.
