With a focus on climatology, ecology and conservation, the Bachelor of Science - Environment and Sustainability is designed for students wanting to explore environmental science, biodiversity conservation and practical aspects of climate change mitigation and adaptation and natural resource management for more a sustainable future. This degree will give students an understanding about major environmental issues and the social, political and environmental implications of human impacts on the globe. Our graduates find work as Climatologists, Climate Scientists, Climate Policy Analysts, Conservation and Biodiversity Managers, Environmental Consultants, Environmental Scientists and Natural Resource Managers.

Standard entry requirements

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • Have achieved a minimum Overall Position (OP) 15, tertiary entrance rank 66 or equivalent qualification
  • Subject Pre-requisites: English (4, SA)
  • From 2019 Mathematics A (4, SA) or equivalent.Recommended: Mathematics B and 1 of Biology, Science, Chemistry or Physics
  • International applicants must also have met the University's English language requirements or have completed the University's ELICOS/EAP programs

Further information

If students do not have the recommended Mathematics B Level for entry then they will be required to undertake MAT1000 Mathematics Fundamentals as an elective.
