Structure

(a) To qualify for the award a candidate must pass units to the value of 144 credit points with not more than 48 credit points at 100-level and at least 36 credit points at 300-level or higher.

Standard entry requirements

(a) A graduate candidate shall hold at least a three-year degree (AQF Level 7) of a recognised university.

Recognition

The Bachelor of Laws is accredited by the Legal Practitioners Admission Board of NSW for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW and mutual recognition legislation extends admission to other Australian jurisdictions. After completion of academic qualifications in law, entry to legal practice also requires the completion of a Practical Legal Training (PLT) course.

Study pathways

Graduate entry students may qualify for the award of the degree with Honours; a specific enrolment pathway must be followed and completed with academic merit. Students may be eligible for credit (advanced standing) for previously completed studies. An exit pathway is available for eligible students.
