The Master of Education (Student Wellbeing) promotes an understanding of the centrality of student wellbeing to positive educational and mental health outcomes. The course provides opportunities for teachers to develop and enhance knowledge and skills to promote student wellbeing in schools at the individual and organisational level. It prepares teachers to take a leadership role in the design, implementation and evaluation of student wellbeing policy, programs and practices.

Structure

100 points of coursework, comprising six core 12.5 point subjects and one negotiated 25 point project. This course is normally taken on a part-time basis. Part time study over two years is recommended.

Standard entry requirements

A four-year education degree, or equivalent, or An undergraduate degree in any discipline and at least 50 credit points, or equivalent, of graduate study in education. Applicants without a relevant degree but with at least 6 years relevant work experience are encouraged to provide a CV with their application to be considered.
