This program is designed for people working or intending to work in analytical laboratories (including forensic facilities) involved in the analysis of explosives, chemical agents, and biological agents; and Government agencies and government departments concerned with national security, law enforcement and public health (e.g. policy development and incident response management). At the completion of their studies, students will have a critical understanding and knowledge of the investigative and analytical concepts as they apply to the detection and analysis of chemical and biological agents and explosives. Students will be able to apply their knowledge to the collection, processing and analysis of evidence associated with these areas of specialisation. The program is part of a collaborative education partnership with the University of Florida.
