This program will give students the specialist skills to work in three growing industries public relations, events and tourism. For example, public relations practitioners organise events as part of their regular tasks; public relations skills are important for tourism management while tourism may use events as part of it's strategic plan, requiring PR skills to delivery an effective event. Graduates will have the knowledge needed to work as an event and/or tourism manager with the additional skills of understanding how to promote their organisation to ensure sustainability. Students will be equipped to work in-house (for example, for a major hotel, tourism operators, tourism resorts, travel agencies, or government agencies) or in a public relations firm that specialises in tourism and events management. The degree includes real-world professional experiences that will help to get a job by participating two internship opportunities.
