The Bachelor of Accounting is designed to meet the needs of students seeking accreditation with professional accounting associations in Australia. The program provides a strong dedicated focus on the key skills needed by professional accountants in areas specific to the accounting profession as well as key business skills such as critical thinking and research skills. All students studying the Bachelor of Accounting are able to select an open major from any field within the university allowing a highly customisable course of study to meet the needs of individual students. Another innovative option of this program is the ability of all students to complete an optional Internship unit as part of their studies.

Student Profiles

Agung Nugroho, Indonesia

Master of Education

Agung Nugroho was a scholarship recipient from the Department of National Education, Indonesia. He decided to study at the University of Canberra for his Master of Education because of the high quality and standards of the academic staff. "I really enjoyed the classroom environment. There was lots of conversation and opportunities to share opinions. The facilities are excellent and I have even been able to join the clubs and societies at UC, which was a great chance to meet many people from different countries," he says. Agung Nugroho has experience as both an academic and practitioner in the fields of education. "The knowledge and support I received from my teachers and friends have helped build my working style, which definitely forms my career in education and teaching." Agung is currently working as an academic and as an officer at the International Office at the Semarang State University in Indonesia. His career is driven by his passion to teach the younger Indonesian generation teachers about education and how to improve the quality of Indonesian teachers. "That would really change Indonesian teachers in the quality of teaching to students," he says.
