This program provides students with both foundation knowledge in the exercise and movement sciences and the skills to apply this knowledge to a range of disorders.


Students must complete units totalling 384 credit points (48 credit points per semester over 4 years).

Standard entry requirements

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • Assumed knowledge: English, or Literature, or English and Literature, or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 & 4, C)
  • Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C)
  • And one of Chemistry (Units 3 & 4, C), Physics (Units 3 & 4, C), Biology (Units 3 & 4, C).


This course is provisionally accredited with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

Study pathways

Students may apply to transfer to a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) at the end of second year. Entry to Honours will be competitive and will be based on Grade Point Average. Students may be able to claim credit for part of their course, on the basis of completed or partially completed studies, and other assessable learning outcomes.

Hepatitis B vaccination, CPR certification including Automated External Defibrillation and anaphylaxis training and a current Blue Card prior to commencing the clinical placement components in this course.
