This double degree increases career options across business and communication fields. The business component gives students a strong theoretical and practical underpinning in the key disciplines, functions, principles and practices of business across national and international business environments with depth and specialisation in one or more business disciplines. The communication component prepares students for professional roles in the rapidly evolving communication industries. Students gain exposure to a broad range of communication literacies and local and international communication platforms through on-campus learning, international study experiences and engagement with world-leading research. Students will understand the importance of cultural diversity, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, in national and globalised communications environments. The curriculum is responsive to industry needs and students have the opportunity to develop professional expertise by applying their knowledge and skills in authentic industry settings.

Bachelor of Business (Honours), Master of Teaching (Secondary) or Master of Philosophy is available. Students may be able to claim advanced standing for part of their course on the basis of completed or partially completed studies in a degree or diploma and other assessable learning outcomes.
