This course allows you to combine your justice and business interests, providing you with a broad base of commercial knowledge and skills. You will graduate job-ready by exploring the most recent theory and practice of social justice, and build problem-solving, analytical and applied computer skills that are relevant to the workplace. In the business component of the course, you can choose a major in accounting, advertising, economics, finance, financial planning, management, marketing, human resource management, international business and public relations. For your justice studies, you can choose between majors in policy and politics or criminology and policing, giving a broad range of specialty areas to focus your career on.

Standard entry requirements

Satisfactory completion of Year 12 in an Australian school system of equivalent. Before you start this course, we assume you have sound knowledge of the subject/s listed below. If you don't have the subject knowledge, you can still apply for the course but we strongly encourage you to undertake bridging studies to gain the knowledge: English, or Literature, or English and Literature Extension, or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 & 4, C). And for Accounting, Finance, Financial Planning, Economics and Marketing majors: General Mathematics, or Mathematical Methods, or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C).

Students may receive advanced standing towards their degree for previous study. Standard QUT advanced standing rules apply. On successful completion of the Bachelor of Justice, further study options are available in an Honours program for students who meet eligibility requirements.
