In this course students will develop skills in becoming an insightful thinker, an observant reader and an imaginative writer. They will explore a wide range of literary, theoretical, dramatic, and other texts, from the Renaissance to the present day, and develop your capacity for reflection and analysis. Students will learn to write in a range of literary and related genres and learn to think critically and creatively, apply knowledge and information, and communicate effectively. These are professional skills that are critical across a range of industries.
Structure
Students can select from a variety of units including Writing and Creativity, Turning Points in literature, poetry, film and performance. The completion of a second major or minor is encouraged, allowing students to explore another area of interest.
