This is one of the newer fields in engineering. Mechatronic Engineering is about the design, building and management of intelligent mechanical systems, and automated control and robotic systems using sensors, actuators, analogue components and embedded computer systems with electronic and mechanical co-design. This major focuses on high-tech systems design. Final-year students will complete a project with real industry cases or advanced research groups. The Engineering Industry Partnership Program enables students to engage with our industry partners throughout their degree.
