This program combines specialist finance knowledge with an interdisciplinary overview of issues related to international business. The MFA facilitates entry into a range of challenging and rewarding careers, and provides a pathway to several designations of professional excellence within the investment industry. The MIB teaches essential techniques of international business management, keeping a balance between academic rigour and a wide range of practical experiences.
Structure
Students must complete 24 subjects, each worth 15 credit points. This is built on the core structures of the MFA and the MIB, with room for elective choices.

- An Australian Bachelor's degree in any discipline or an approved equivalent qualification
- Admission may be granted to applicants without an undergraduate degree but with five or more years of relevant work experience
- NB: Meeting minimum prerequisites does not guarantee an offer of a place. Entry into all La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.

Graduates of the Master of Financial Analysis / Master of International Business may be eligible to apply for registration with the CFA Institute. Professional registration may be subject to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details. Study pathways
Applicants with demonstrated prior learning in business, either in the form of an undergraduate degree in a business related field or with at least five years relevant business experience, will be eligible to apply for Advanced Standing (credit) for the four subjects of the first semester of the course. In making an offer of Advanced Standing to an applicant, the University may give consideration to a range of factors including English proficiency, academic record, and employment experience.
