This program is a comprehensive study package for professionals in health service settings who want to expand their career pathway into senior management roles in the public or private sectors. It also provides an entry into the health sector for managers working in non-healthcare settings.

Structure

Students are required to complete 9 subjects from the existing Master of Health Administration and 12 subjects from the existing Master of Business Administration (MBA). The structure ensures coverage of essential content while allowing flexibility for students to pursue personal and professional interests. In the MBA, the Boardroom Simulation occurs in the last semester of a student's last year of enrolment. Students complete the e-Portfolio at the end of each semester (equivalent to 8 hours).

  • Applicants are required to have completed an undergraduate Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, and have a minimum of two years relevant management experience in the health sector

Recognition

The Master of Business Administration has EPAS (EFMD Programme Accreditation System) accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Professional registration may require an application to the professional body and may have additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Graduates may apply for membership with the Institute of Managers and Leaders (IML) and the Graduate Management Association of Australia (GMAA). Study pathways

Those who have completed the Graduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration or Health Services Management and are seeking to progress to the Master degree require a B average.
