Structure

To qualify for the award of Master of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, students must complete 240 credit points consisting of: 120 core credit-points 120 core pathway credit points

Standard entry requirements

  • Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Applicants must have an Australian Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent).
  • Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Specialisation - compulsory: At least two years (four semesters) of biology, including at least two semesters in any of the following areas of study at second-year level or above: biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, cell biology, genetics or biotechnology.
  • Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Course specific requirements - WAM - Weighted Average Mark (WAM) 60%
  • International: IELTS - 6.5 < 6.0 (PG minimum) - 6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.
