Type of institution: University/Higher Education Institution
This program provides an opportunity for graduate physiotherapists to develop advanced theoretical and applied skills in sports physiotherapy, skills in critical evaluation of relevant literature, and research design. It also aims to allow physiotherapists to undertake further training in their own time with minimal disruption to their work.
Students complete three core subjects. For the first subject, students need to complete 104 hours of accredited continuing education courses. These are run by external providers such as the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) or Sports Medicine Australia. The remaining subjects are taken online.
