This course is designed to help you develop advanced theoretical and applied skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, critical evaluation of literature and research design. The flexible design of this course allows students to continue clinical work while studying. The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 8.
Structure
The course is structured to allow physiotherapists to undertake further education in their own time with minimum disruption to their work. Minimum contact hours are 6 to 8 hours per week per subject. Students will do three subjects in total. The first subject requires the completion of 104 hours of accredited continuing education courses. These are run by external providers such as the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) or Sports Medicine Australia (APA Spinal 1, Spinal 2 and Sports 1 are required courses to be completed as part of these 104 hours). The remaining subjects are completed online.

- At least one year of clinical physiotherapy experience
