This program introduces students to the study of the normal functioning of the human body and to the pathological processes that occur in the diseased state. The first three years focuses on the core components of biomedical sciences. The study of anatomy, physiology and biochemistry leads to more detailed examination of immunology, clinical biochemistry, pathobiology, haematology, microbiology and histology/cytology. The course also covers the core professional principles of laboratory management and quality assurance.
