James Cook University (JCU) is Australia's leading university for the Tropics. Campuses

Cairns: located in Far North Queensland near the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, as well as the pristine rainforests of the Wet Tropics, JCU Cairns is situated near the northern beaches. The city is also connected with an international airport.

Singapore: a truly multicultural campus located in the heart of the city, JCU Singapore has achieved the highest level of accreditation from the Singapore Government, the EduTrust Star.

Townsville: located in the Dry Tropics of North Queensland, Townsville is JCU's largest campus. From here, students can enjoy exploring the Great Barrier Reef to the east, and Australia's outback savannahs to the west.

Brisbane: operated by Russo Higher Education Pty Ltd, JCU Brisbane provides quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the CBD of Queensland's capital city.

JCU Cairns and Townsville offer an extensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses. Study areas include:

Students learn from dedicated staff who design their courses to include hands-on experience. Many JCU courses offer field trips, professional placements and real-world projects that give students the skills they need for the global workforce. Small class sizes ensure students have academic support throughout their studies.

Students who meet the academic entry requirements for entry into a JCU degree, but not the English language entry requirements, have the option to study JCU's English for Academic Purposes course. This specialist program equips you with a deeper level of knowledge, which will give you the English language skills you need to succeed in your studies.
