Structure
This is a 54 unit program. Students complete five core (compulsory) topics and either three or four option topics chosen from a range of option topics available. These topics aim to provide students with the opportunity to critically review the theory and practice of contemporary midwifery care within dynamic professional and political contexts and advance the discipline of midwifery by developing new conceptual frameworks and promoting excellence in midwifery practice.

Standard entry requirements
Applicants must normally: (1) hold a midwifery degree or a Graduate Diploma in Midwifery or equivalent qualification, and (2) be a registered midwife, and (3) hold a current midwifery practising certificate.

Students enrolled in Pathway 2 - Coursework and Research are required to undertake field work for their Research Project (except with the permission of the Course Coordinator)
