Deakin's Master of International Accounting - ACCA (MIA-ACCA) provides graduates of any discipline with the opportunity to undertake studies towards gaining membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). An ACCA accounting qualification is highly regarded by employers in many countries. This flexible course lets you take your accounting career in a wide range of directions.

Structure

  • 16 credit points total which include
  • 13 credit points of core units
  • 3 credit points of elective units
  • Students also complete one zero credit point academic integrity module.

Standard entry requirements

  • Bachelor degree or other qualification at a higher AQF level in a related discipline and a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65%
  • Or Bachelor degree in any discipline AND completion of minimum three ACCA fundamental units*
  • Or for International Applicants successful completion of Masters Qualifying Program (MQP) (with a minimum overall average of 65)
  • Selection is competitive, meeting these minimum requirements or their equivalents does not guarantee selection into this course

  • *Three ACCA fundamental units are: Accountant in Business, Management Accounting and Financial Accounting.
