Graduate Certificates prepare students to develop advanced knowledge and skills for professional or highly skilled work and further learning corresponding to AQF level 8 qualifications.This multidisciplinary public health course will introduce students to public health foundations and taking action across educational, organisational, socio-economic, environmental and political domains to improve population health.

Standard entry requirements

Specifically, applicants require an undergraduate degree from a tertiary institution preferably in a health science area, education, behavioural sciences, social sciences or management. Satisfying the admission requirements enables an applicant to be considered for admission, but does not guarantee an offer of admission to the program. Admission into program is at the discretion of the course coordinator/School and is dependent on a number of considerations including the applicant’s academic background and work experience along with assessment of supplementary information provided by the applicant.

Applications for credit towards a course are assessed on an individual basis. Credit reduces the amount of learning required to complete the course and may be granted for formal education qualifications, non-formal learning from non-award programs of study and informal learning through work experiences.
