This program offers a further year of study for students who have successfully completed their undergraduate degree in the fields of music, fine arts, new media design or communication with an average overall grading of credit or higher. It provides a pathway for students to begin research training and offers the opportunity to subsequently participate in advanced postgraduate study. It also offers a gallery and museum research project for students wishing to pursue advanced study in that sector.
Structure
Students will undertake 1 year of study in normal full time mode. In first semester they will participate in the Honours Seminar which will be a 2 hour weekly seminar of lectures and presentations of research as well as embarking on their Research Project which will involve weekly sessions with their Honours supervisor. In second semester students enrol in Research Exegesis where they prepare their 5,000 word Research Paper and complete their Research Project.

Standard entry requirements
A recognised Bachelor degree in the fields of architecture and design, communications, music, new media or visual arts with at least a credit average, including completion at credit level or above of undergraduate units or equivalent in the proposed field of Honours study
