The search begins for the next StudyAdelaide Ambassadors from India

Applications are now open for the exclusive StudyAdelaide Ambassador program, giving 10 Indian students the opportunity to win a support package worth AUD $4,000 (2 Lacs) and become ambassadors for the city of Adelaide in South Australia.

The program’s support package includes airfares, two-weeks accommodation, a living allowance and free access to key Adelaide festivals and events, enabling students to soak up the full educational and lifestyle experience of the city.

While in Adelaide, ambassadors will be asked to use their skills and influence to engage friends, family and the community to showcase why Adelaide is the best Australian city for international students.

Karyn Kent, CEO of StudyAdelaide, said due to popularity, the program has more than doubled the number of ambassadorships on offer in 2019, compared to 2018.

“This is a unique opportunity for students to experience the best Adelaide has to offer,” she said.

“We are excited to welcome our 10 Ambassadors for 2019 and introduce them to our vibrant city life, safe and supportive community, and world-class educational institutions.”

Home to the University of Adelaide, Flinders University and the University of South Australia, Adelaide is one of the world’s leading education cities, with universities ranking in the top two per cent worldwide. It’s also the ideal student city, being 16 per cent more affordable than Melbourne or Sydney.

StudyAdelaide Ambassador for 2018, Amanda Michelle Simran Sathiaraj, believes Adelaide is the perfect location for Indian students to study and live.

“Adelaide is a really fun and lively place to live. It has lots of activities and things to do, and since being here I’ve enriched my knowledge and developed a lot of networks,” she said.

“I definitely recommend students from India come and study in Adelaide.”

The StudyAdelaide Ambassador Program is an initiative of StudyAdelaide. In partnership with education institutions, StudyAdelaide grows awareness and preference for Adelaide as a global study destination.

Applicants must be based in India, aged 16 or above, and intend to commence study at a CRICOS registered Adelaide institution in July 2019.
