Sydney

Scandinavian FilmFestival

This is perfect for the movie buffs out there. Running from11 July to 2 August, the Scandinavian FilmFestival will feature a variety of motion pictures at Palace Norton Streetand Palace Verona.

HAIM

Before they hit up Splendour in the Grass, all-female act HAIMwill takethe stage at the Enmore Theatre on Thursday 20 July. If you can get yourhands on a ticket, this will be worth the price of admission.

Macarthur NightMarkets

Operating from mid-June all the way until mid-December, the MacarthurNight Markets showcase local culinary offerings from Eat, Shop, Love. Thispop-up food market takes place on the first and third Friday of every month.  

Hobart

Tasmania Whisky Week

The 2017 Tasmania WhiskyWeek returns from 4 August to 13 August, with events ranging from thefree-of-charge Shene After Dark in Pontville, to the $695-a-head TasmanianHighlands Whisky Weekend at Ratho Farm.

Chocolate Winterfest

The Tasmanian town of Latrobe will be transformed on 13August as the Chocolate Winterfestcomes to life. From chocolate bingo to a chocolate cake competition, this eventhas something for everyone to enjoy.

AFL

Tasmania might not have their own AFL team but on 13 August,the two sides that play home games in the state will meet as Hawthornhost North Melbourne at University of Tasmania Stadium in Launceston.
