Why VU?
Victoria University is a young and dynamic hub of ideas and energy. It was established in 1990 after eighty years of evolution.
VU was once individual colleges and schools that met the needs of students from Victoria and around the globe from as early as 1916. In 1990 these institutions joined forces under one name to meet the demand for a tertiary institution that taught relevant knowledge and skills from the secondary school level right through to research degrees.
Over 45000 students, including international students from over 100 countries, study at VU. Approximately 3000 international students study in Melbourne each year. Another 4000 take part in one of our many offshore programs around the world. We have established partnerships with over 90 educational institutions around the globe.
