Courses

General English Programs

General English (EGP).
EGP emphasises communication in everyday English. The focus is on speaking and listening. Your writing and reading skills will also improve.

Cambridge EFL examinations preparation
This program prepares you for two of the Cambridge EFL examinations. These are recognised worldwide for employment and study purposes. They are the FCE (First Certificate in English) and CAE (Certificate in Advanced English).

Professional programs
TEFL professional development programs - combining English & TEFL. Special Purpose English program - English programs designed for professional groups.

Study tour packages
Programs combining English with education, cultural, industry or recreational activities.
Academic English and Study Skills

Academic English (EAP)
EAP programs improve your English and academic study skills, whether you plan to study at the University of Sydney or elsewhere.

Intensive Academic Writing (IAW)
An intensive academic writing course for students with high English test scores who have not yet reached the required writing level for university entry.

Intensive Entry Program (IEP)
High level intensive program reinforcing academic and language skills.

Graduate Academic Skills (GAS)
A very high level intensive academic English course, for students who have reached a higher advanced level with at least the equivalent of IELTS 6.5, who may intend to study postgraduate programs.
Tests for University Entry
CET university entry test ( e-test). This is a test developed by CET and recognised by the University. We offer the e-test to students completing their academic language programs at the advanced or higher advanced level. If you pass the e-test and meet the necessary academic entry requirements, you can progress directly into your preferred degree at the University of Sydney. No further English test is needed.
