UQ Study Abroad Students
UQ’s Study Abroad and student exchange programs provide students already enrolled at accredited universities outside of Australia the exciting opportunity to explore their interests and talents through studying at UQ for one or two semesters.

Students can choose from more than 4,000 courses across UQ’s seven faculties covering disciplines as diverse as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies, mining and minerals engineering, religious studies and zoology. Many of these courses focus on Australian topics or offer field trips to unique locations in south-east Queensland. Credit for courses successfully completed at UQ in most cases may be transferred to the degree at the student’s home institution.

UQ offers first-class facilities and services, with students benefiting from excellent academic and support services, fully-equipped libraries, up-to-date IT facilities and excellent sporting and recreational facilities. UQ's Accommodation Services can help students find temporary and longer-term accommodation on-campus and off-campus and also provide ongoing advice and assistance to students. UQ provides abundant opportunities for students to make new friends, try different activities, and participate in social events.

Ideal study location

UQ’s location is the perfect backdrop for study. UQ’s three main teaching campuses are located in south-east Queensland, on Australia’s eastern coast. UQ St Lucia, the University’s largest campus – is located in Brisbane, a dynamic capital city with a population of more than 1.8 million people.
