Why I chose UQ

Yin San Leong, Malaysia

“I chose UQ because of its reputation and it is one of Australia’s top three universities.

“My program (Bachelor of Biotechnology [Microbiology]) has given me the chance to work in a research lab to gain real experience working as a scientist. It has also provided many choices of interesting elective courses giving me much flexibility in every semester.

“My degree will definitely help me to get a job. I am not only well-trained for the practical components of my program, but also in ways to communicate and present myself in all situations.”
