Melbourne and Sydney

The Meridian International School (TMIS) offers fully accredited courses that provide students with pathways to other education institutions in Australia and overseas. TMIS specialises in teaching international students and our support and teaching staff are experienced in providing students with the support they need to succeed. Small class sizes maximise the amount of individual attention students receive.

Year 10

Offered as a registered year in Melbourne and Sydney, students who successfully complete Year 10 are issued with a Meridian International School certificate and report.

Years 11 and 12, Melbourne

The Melbourne campus offers students in Years 11 and 12 either the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL).

The VCE is most suited to students who want to go on to attain a university entrance score and VCE students are expected to meet the appropriate state wide conditions to be eligible to satisfy the program’s requirements. VCAL is a practical program is intended for students who are more suited to vocational education and training.

Years 11 and 12, Sydney

The Sydney campus offers students in Years 11 and 12 the Higher School Certificate (HSC). The HSC is most suited to students who want to go on to a university education. HSC students are expected to meet the appropriate state wide conditions to be eligible to satisfy the course requirements.

English Programs

TMIS English programs develop students speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

English Preparation for High School (EPHS) specifically readies students for high school studies.

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is designed to improve the English language skills of students who plan to go on to higher level studies including diplomas, bachelor degrees and master degrees.

Business Courses, Sydney

Meridian Sydney also offers vocational courses in Accounting, Management and Marketing. Programs currently offered provide students who successfully complete the programs with advanced standing into bachelor degrees at Australian universities. Vocational programs presently offered include: Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Accounting, Certificate IV and Diploma of Business (Management) and Certificate IV and Diploma of Business (Marketing).

Both campuses provide students with easy access to transport and city highlights. They are in centrally located buildings, climate controlled, have modern classrooms and facilities, state of the art computers and free broadband internet access.

Support services include airport transfers, homestay accommodation and accommodation assistance, guardianship for students under 18 years of age, new student orientation, academic support, language and literacy assistance and personal counselling.
