The Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AGSE)

The Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AGSE) is the graduate business school for Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. Swinburne welcomes international students, with a total student population of 22,600 including 5,500 international students from around the world.

The AGSE is different to other education providers. With more than 30 years of experience in delivering high-quality graduate business programs, AGSE offers a fresh approach to business, leadership and management education, and to business research. AGSE’s focus is on the entrepreneurial application of learning. This ensures that students understand the difference between the theory of business and the application of that theory in a way that provides growth opportunities for themselves and their organisations.

As the pace of business quickens and the world becomes less predictable, it is crucial that leaders in both business and government are equipped to create prosperous and socially responsible enterprises. This takes more than good management skills – it takes progressive thinking, calculated risk-taking, strong intuition and a deep understanding of what makes business tick. These qualities, which are taught in each of our programs, make our graduates successful as leaders in their fields.

AGSE also offers PhDs, with its main concentration in Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise; Work and Aging, Public Sector Management and International Business. There are over a hundred candidates studying their doctoral program within the school.
