Graduates develop comprehensive technical expertise as well as strong communication and leadership skills, attributed to dedicated teaching and exposure to cross disciplinary studies including: management; visual communication; entrepreneurship; and economics, finance and marketing.

Industry partnerships

Our strong links with industry lead to projects, that tackle real-world problems. The school gives students outstanding career support. Strong industry partnerships with large IT leaders such as Agilent Technologies, ANZ, Dimension Data, the Marlo Group, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Infosys, Microsoft and Oracle, bring leading professionals to deliver professional development programs and recruit graduates. The two-year postgraduate program through yoursoftware.com.au transmits realworld experience to students at that level.

Scholarships

The school supports a rich array of scholarships across all levels as described at: www.rmit.edu.au/csit/scholarships

Support and cultural diversity

International students encounter a unique, specialised, support infrastructure through handson teaching and learning advisors, who assist with learning support, cultural acclimatisation, visa issues, and settling into Melbourne and university life. Each student is assigned a personal academic advisor, who provides advice on subject selection. Orientation events welcome local and international students to the school, help students mingle, and feel comfortable amongst a tapestry of different nationalities.
