Students have the opportunity and are actively encouraged to complete real world projects during their education, with many students gaining industry experience before they graduate.

The technology used in the industry is ever changing with new software being upgraded approximately every 18 months and its with this in mind that Qantm College has developed its course material. Qantm College degree and diploma programs have been condensed into two and one year programs meaning graduates emerge from their studies abreast of newest technologies and armed with the latest industry knowledge.

Degree course details

Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment (with a major in animation)
Qantm’s strong links with the animation and games industries have resulted in programs which are industry-focused and cutting-edge in their content. At Qantm College, our animation courses focus on the key areas of knowledge that are in high-demand by industry. These include the study of drawing and 2D animation, 3D modelling, lighting, texturing, rigging and animation techniques, as well as special effects.

Bachelor of Creative Media (with a major in graphic design)
The program covers design communication, typography, page layout, computer illustration, reprographics, cartooning, image manipulation, web design and 2D animation. The main objective of this program is to create a high level of design competency in print and screen based software.Students will also gain technical knowledge in pre-press and print. Various design projects will be delivered throughout the graphic design program, each will contribute to an electronic or print based portfolio of work.

Bachelor of Creative Media (with a major in interactive media)
Students undertaking this program of study will learn to design and develop interactive content for a range of platforms including the internet, mobile phones, CD-Rom, DVD and touch-screen. Key features of the course include multimedia development, graphic design, interface design, and interaction design for the internet and broadcast media. Scriptwriting, storyboarding, 2D and 3D animation, video and sound editing, development and programming also form part of the course.

Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment (with a major in games design)
This program has been devised to give our students essential insight into all the areas critical to becoming leaders in the games design industry. Students will complement design theory with extensive practical work in the areas of art, scripting, testing, prototyping and the psychology of game play. This course has been developed to satisfy the increasing demand for graduates who have the experience and skills to focus on the specialist needs of the interactive entertainment industry.

Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment (with a major in games programming)
As the cornerstone of any games production team, games programmers code the complex interactions that leave players spellbound. The course focuses on object-oriented programming, mathematics for 3D games, artificial intelligence, game level design and rapid applications development.
