Qantm College was founded in 1996 by the Queensland Department of State Development and Innovation, Arts Queensland, Northern Territory Government, Queensland University of Technology, University of Queensland, University of Southern Queensland, James Cook University, Griffith University and TAFE Queensland.

Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment (Animation Major) – 2 years (Full Time) CRICOS code 056358G

This qualification prepares graduates for either entry into operational, development and managerial roles within the interactive entertainment industries or post graduate studies in related areas. Students specialise in 2D and 3D animation for the games, film, television and related industries. The program also exposes students to a range of contextual topics in animation such as script writing, storyboarding, character development, project management and legal issues.

Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment (Games Programming Major) – 2 years (Full Time) CRICOS code 056358G
This program prepares graduates for work within the interactive entertainment industries or postgraduate studies in related fields. Graduates will gain an understanding of the practices and processes needed to fulfill managerial, development and operational roles with in the interactive entertainment industries. Courses of studies cover topics such as; games design, games system design, mathematics for programming, AI and agent systems as well as design disciplines like scriptwriting and storyboarding.

This program combines creative design skills with the development and management processes required to successfully create multimedia artefacts for commerce, business, education and entertainment. Students are exposed to all aspects of new media development and asset creation but are encouraged to specialise in key discipline areas such as Graphic Design, Web Development, eLearning or mobile technologies.

Diploma of Screen (Animation) – 1 year (Full Time) CRICOS Code: 056356J

This program is designed to provide students with an entry level understanding of both 2D & 3D animation principles and practice. Students are exposed to the processes of animation such as live action referencing, storyboarding, texturing, lighting and detailed model construction. This program may be articulated into the Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment – Majoring in Animation or other Qantm College degree programs.

Diploma of Screen (Digital Video Production) – 1 year (Full Time) CRICOS Code: 056356J
The Diploma of Screen (Digital Video Production) is a highly practical qualification that provides the essential skills and understanding needed for employment or further studies in the film and television industries. The program covers all aspects of digital video production including; project planning, storyboarding, animation, audio production, editing, cinematography, compositing, DVD authoring and special effects creation. This program may be articulated into the Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment – Majoring in Animation or other Qantm College degree programs.

Diploma of Multimedia (Web Development) – 1 year (Full Time) CRICOS Code: 056357G
This qualification exposes students with a broad range of disciplines within the new media industries while providing a high level of specialisation in the area of web development for a range of outcomes including eLearning, eCommerce, entertainment and communication. This is a great program as it introduces students to all aspects of new media development as well as covering a range of asset creation disciplines. This program can articulate into the Bachelor of Applied Multimedia or other Qantm College degree programs.

Diploma of Multimedia (Graphic Design) – 1 year (Full Time) CRICOS Code: 056357G
This program incorporates the study of traditional graphic design principles and practices with an emphasis on the integration of digital workflows. These skills are also extended into the fields of new media development for the Internet and interactive media. Studies are largely completed on a Macintosh platform although students will also be exposed to the PC environment. This program can articulate into one of Qantm College’s two bachelor degrees.
