PIBT is located on the Churchlands campus of ECU and offer university level Diploma programs in Business, Computing and Information Technology, Hotel Management, Marketing, Mass Communication and Science. These programs are equivalent to first year of ECU’s Bachelor degree programs and you are guaranteed entry into second year of the Bachelor degree upon successful completion of your Diploma. We also offer Postgraduate Qualifying Programs in Business, Computing and Information Technology and Communications, which qualify you for entry into ECU’s Master degrees.
Since our inception in 1994, PIBT has become the leading pathway option to ECU. Thousands of Australian and International students have successfully completed their Bachelor degrees, with many progressing further to complete Masters and PhD programs.

Supporting you while you study
IBT Education scholarships and family bursary

As PIBT is part of the IBT Education group, you may be eligible for an IBT Education scholarship or family bursary. The IBT Education group offers six full scholarships and 60 partial (50%) scholarships for university level Diploma programs or first year of Bachelor degree programs at Curtin Sydney per year. The group also offers family bursaries to immediate family members who study at our colleges.
Access to University facilities and services
Your classes will be conducted on the Churchlands campus of ECU and you are welcome to join in most aspects of University life, as well as have access to University cafes, library, bookshop and other facilities.
Airport Pick Up and Transfer
If you are an international student arriving for the first time, we will meet you at the airport, free of charge, and transfer you to your accommodation. Bookings are essential.
Accommodation
You have a choice of accommodation options including Homestay, temporary residences and off-campus accommodation to choose from and we will assist you to find the most appropriate accommodation to suit your requirements.
Orientation
We provide you with an orientation program which provides crucial information and advice to assist you in adjusting to the living and learning environment at PIBT.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
As an international student, you are required to maintain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) at all times while studying in Australia. OSHC helps minimise the costs of medical expenses incurred while you are in Australia. Through PIBT’s preferred provider Worldcare Assist, you will have access to online help, telephone support, legal advice and assistance towards payment of covered medical bills.
