Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE

NMIT is one of Australia’s leading providers of vocational training and higher education for a global workforce. Located on six campuses and four training centres throughout Melbourne’s central and northern suburbs, NMIT is a government-funded institution providing a broad range of degrees, diplomas and certificates across a diverse range of study areas.

NMIT has excellent resources including vineyards and wineries, horse stud, training farm for agricultural students, industrial robots, fully equipped laboratories and workshops, audio recording facilities, audio visual equipment and television studio, language laboratory, modern well-equipped libraries, training restaurants (Preston) and bistro (Collingwood), aquaculture facility, hairdressing training salons, building trades centre, design studios, performance spaces, engineering workshops, renewable energy training systems and many more modern state-of-the-art training facilities.

International student services

NMIT International Office ensures international students are assisted in every possible way to make the most of their time at NMIT by providing them with a range of services including free airport pickup, accommodation assistance, personal and careers information, counselling, student lounges, and general information services.

Tuition fees

Fees range from AUD$9800 to AUD$12,500 per year. NMIT offers ELICOS (English) programs at a fee of AUD$300 per week.

Starting dates
