All our campuses are situated in the state of Victoria, in the south-east of Australia. Victoria is a popular destination for both international students and tourists and, while studying at La Trobe University, you will have the opportunity to explore all Victoria has to offer. In addition to its thriving capital city, Victoria offers a magnificent coastline, attractive beaches, snow-fields, rainforests and arid, semi-desert areas.
Student Support Services and Facilities

All La Trobe University campuses offer excellent on-campus accommodation, computer services to support teaching and research, sport and recreational facilities, cafes and child-care facilities. In addition, the University offers one of the most comprehensive educational libraries in Australia.
The University provides a range of support services to help international students adjust to living in Australia. This includes a free airport reception service and a Welcome Festival (orientation) program which is designed to assist students in their first weeks at La Trobe.
Campus Locations
La Trobe University currently offers courses to international students at four campuses:
Melbourne (Bundoora): The main campus at Bundoora is within easy reach of central Melbourne and is well-serviced by public transport. Covering 330 hectares of native parkland, the campus is one of the largest and most attractive in Australia.
Bendigo: Only 90 minutes from Melbourne, the city of Bendigo offers international students the best of both capital and regional city living. Bendigo campus is situated on 33 hectares of attractive bushland and offers students a relaxed learning environment.
Albury-Wodonga: Albury-Wodonga is situated 300 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. The smaller size of the Albury-Wodonga campus offers international students more personalised attention and a safe, supportive environment for study.
Melbourne (City): This campus is located in Melbourne’s city centre and has a postgraduate Health Sciences focus. Plans for a new city campus are also underway.
Study Abroad at La Trobe
La Trobe University’s Study Abroad Program is tailored to meet the needs of international students who wish to spend a single semester or full academic year studying in Australia. Units (subjects) are specially selected to be suitable for crediting to degree programs at students' home institutions and for students who simply wish to experience the Australian lifestyle while studying at one of Australia's leading universities.
In addition to undertaking units within student’s area of study, La Trobe also offers a unique opportunity to learn more about Australian culture and society through the unit Discover Australia which includes comparative analysis of other countries and cultures around the world.
