Curtin was initially established as the Western Australian Institute of Technology in 1967 and became Curtin University of Technology in 1987. With nearly 40,000 students and 2,800 staff, Curtin has a reputation for academic excellence, innovative research initiatives and close community and professional links.

All Curtin courses have a practical or applied focus built on a solid theoretical base. The University recognises previous studies and work experience, enabling students to take advantage of any relevant prior learning and complete their degree sooner. Curtin offers alternative pathways through its Department of Language and Intercultural Education (DOLIE) including Foundation Studies, ELICOS and an English Language Bridging Course.

Student Support
