New Study Abroad Program
The program will enable you to study for a period of one semester or two semesters in either the Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management or the Bachelor of Culinary Management. You will be able to choose subjects that will help you to meet the subject requirements of the course at your home institution, or you could broaden your educational experience by studying subjects not available at your home institution.
Work Integrated Learning
Increasingly, employers are demanding graduates with degrees as well as experience and the capability to add value to their organisations. The Work Integrated Learning opportunities provided by the Institute during these courses equip graduates to meet this demand.

'What I love about my course? The food and beverages subject. I had always wanted to learn how to make the perfect coffee, properly set a table and learn to carry more than two plates on one hand. It feels great to be able to provide good service. Working as a volunteer at The World's Longest Lunch event was an incredible experience for me. It was something that I had not done before and was my first ever professional work experience. It was very memorable and I will never forget it. I am from Indonesia and as an international student you need a strong willingness to learn because your English is not too good at first. A career in the hospitality industry requires good communication and interpersonal skills so don?t be shy to practice talking with the people around you every day. There is only one way to improve your English and that is by practicing and practicing. Never stop practicing. I just started a new position as a Food and Beverage Attendant at one of Melbourne's famous hotels. I am determined to learn fast and improve my skills. I would like to move into a managerial position in hospitality and eventually start my own business. I have dreamt of running my own business since I was a child.'

'In Germany I worked in a hotel as a receptionist. Every day I met new people from all over the world. This inspired me to take on further study in hospitality and make a full time career out of it. What I love about my course...? That we meet so many people from all over the world, in Europe it is not as multicultural. You learn a lot from many different areas in hospitality and the teachers are really highly skilled and friendly. This has been a very positive experience. I see the teachers try really hard to help students that are struggling and it is really good. I noticed the school's professionalism in my first week, they have really high standards. Working at the Grand Prix, this was a really unique life experience. I met a lot of interesting people and it was fantastic. 'I am from Lima, Peru and moved to Australia to study this course at William Angliss Institute. I know that my course is one of the best in Australia. The course is stimulating and I really enjoy the challenge of studying in English. I get to cook almost every day and I practice a lot. I also work part-time as a cook, which gives me the opportunity to put what I learn in class into practice. I love Melbourne - it is like a melting pot with people from all over the world. This makes it a very exciting city with many things to do. At work, there are only two Australians in the kitchen and everyone else is international. It is a real challenge to understand all the accents and this makes every day interesting. My dream job is to be the Head Chef in a very important hotel and I aspire to work in Spain at one of the El Bulli restaurants owned by Ferran Adria.
