This diversity creates a vibrant and rich learning environment that exposes students to a range of points of view and values.
Future students can also look forward to a revitalised campus, including the newly completed multi-purpose sports hall with indoor sports court, a gym, a dance studio, and tutorial and change rooms; additional on-campus accommodation for 720 students; and great study spaces.
Great city location
UTS' main campus is a convenient fiveminute walk to Sydney's major public transport station - Central Station - and neighbours a diverse array of restaurants, cafes and pubs. The Harbour Bridge and Opera House are only a ten-minute bus ride away, and even more enticing are Sydney's famous beaches, Bondi and Coogee, which are handily located less than half an hour from campus.
Opportunities to experience Australia
UTS Union's Sport and Recreation program is a great, hassle-free way to meet new people and discover 'the land down under'. Whether it is by jumping from a plane, learning to surf in NSW's beautiful Byron Bay, sailing on Sydney Harbour or relaxing in the great Australian outdoors, this program offers a range of affordable day trips, holiday adventures, social sport and short courses for students to enjoy.
Supportive study environment
UTS provides international students with comprehensive support, which covers housing, career services, counselling, English language support, peer support programs, sport and recreation programs, and facilities such as multi-faith chaplaincy and a prayer room.
International leadership program
The Beyond UTS International Leadership Development (BUiLD) program has been specifically designed to give all UTS students the chance to develop leadership skills, forge global connections and enhance employability.
With more than 100 social and sport clubs and societies, UTS Union offers international students the chance to mingle with local students as well as try out new activities. The Exchange and Study Abroad Club (ESAC) aims to bring together international students with likeminded Australian students to socialise and explore Sydney. Peer Network and Network Cafe also welcome and support international students by providing them with the opportunity to meet local students with whom they can practise new language skills, share tips on the local culture, answer questions or just hang out.
