About Us

UTS is recognised for its high performance in research, employability, teaching and infrastructure. The main campus is conveniently located in the centre of Sydney, a modern and cosmopolitan city. Internationalised education

UTS has been awarded five stars in the latest QS Star ratings, recognising UTS for its high performance in research, employability, teaching and infrastructure.

UTS was ranked in the top 500 universities in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai Jiao Tong) 2011 and 268 in the QS World University Rankings 2011.

The Australian Government benchmarked 80 per cent of UTS research at world standard or above world standard in the 2010 Excellence in Research for Australia initiative.

World-class facilities
UTS provides students with technologically advanced facilities to support their academic, social and sporting life at university, including 24-hour access to computer labs and one of the most technologically capable libraries in the Southern Hemisphere. Future students can also look forward to a revitalised campus, including the newly completed multi-purpose sports hall with an indoor sports court, a gym, a dance studio, and tutorial and change rooms; on-campus accommodation for 720 students; and great indoor and outdoor study spaces.

UTS offers scholarships for international students, available university-wide or for study in particular faculties.
