Situated in the heart of Australia's global city of Sydney, the City campus is a ten-minute walk from Central Station, Sydney's major transport hub.

UTS was rated 31 in the Top 50 Under 50 global index of newer universities in 2013 and awarded five stars in the latest QS Stars rating system, recognising UTS internationally for its high performance in research, graduate employability, teaching quality and infrastructure.
In the 2013 QS World University Rankings by Subject, UTS was rated in the top 100 for accounting and finance, civil and structural engineering, computer science and information systems. UTS research is also benchmarked at world standard or above by the Australian Government's 2012 Excellence in Research for Australia initiative.
UTS has one of the most technologically capable libraries in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as wireless internet access and 24-hour access to computer labs. New study spaces on the City campus, are equipped with the latest technological equipment to facilitate collaborative learning with peers and teaching staff.
UTS provides comprehensive support services to international students, including English language and academic support, careers counselling, a multi-faith prayer room, and housing and health services. There are also over 100 clubs and societies covering a range of sporting, cultural, political and religious based groups.
