The UNSW Study Abroad program was established in 1989 and is the oldest and most established study abroad program in Australia.
UNSW Study Abroad students can study for one semester or a full year at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Students can enrol in over 60 academic disciplines in fully integrated UNSW classes.

Location
Located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, the UNSW main campus, built on 38 hectares, has a vibrant educational and communal environment. It is a 20-minute bus ride from the city centre and 15 minutes walk from Coogee Beach.

Student Services

UNSW Study Abroad Student Support Services
UNSW Study Abroad offers a wide range of student services from enquiry to day of departure and beyond with alumni activities. Some services provided are:

  • pre-approval of courses prior to arrival
  • on-arrival airport transfer service
  • accommodation assistance
  • UNSW Study Abroad orientation program
  • academic advising and course enrolment
  • cultural and social activities program during the semester.

Guaranteed Accommodation
Students can choose to live in residential colleges on campus, or off-campus accommodation managed by UNSW Study Abroad.
Placement in UNSW Study Abroad off-campus housing is guaranteed provided an application is submitted before the closing date.

UNSW Study Abroad housing is furnished and within walking distance of the campus, shopping and the beach. Students can apply for on-campus accommodation in one of six fully catered or self-catered UNSW residential colleges.
